Multiquip 1992100173 Cover Drain-4 Post - OEM Replacement Part

This drain cover assembly provides access to the pump casing for drainage and maintenance on Multiquip 3-inch trash pumps. The cover works with the four locking knobs to seal the pump casing and allows technicians to drain water from the pump after usage and before storage, a critical step to prevent freezing damage and extend pump life. The drain plug must be removed to fully drain the pump casing cavity.

On QP3 series trash pumps, the drain system works in conjunction with the clean-out cover assembly, which uses four locking knobs that turn counterclockwise to loosen. Proper drainage after each use prevents corrosion and sediment buildup inside the 3-inch suction and discharge casing. This is especially important for trash pumps handling solids up to 1.50 inches in diameter, as debris can accumulate in the casing and impede future priming ability.
