This constant velocity (CV) coupler ensures efficient power transfer from the drive shaft to the gearbox assemblies on ride-on trowels, maintaining precise timing between gearboxes without slippage. The 1.000" diameter shaft design is engineered for Multiquip's CVT and torque converter drive systems, which automatically deliver the correct amount of torque required under all load conditions—from float pan applications to high-speed burnishing operations.

The CV joint assembly connects via three bolts to the gearbox coupler and is a critical component when performing spare drive belt replacement or drive system maintenance. During normal operation, CV joints prevent timing loss and ensure synchronized rotor performance. When replacing this coupler, disconnect the three securing screws from the left-side gearbox as outlined in factory service procedures.
