The handle boot protects the dual palm grip joystick control assemblies on Multiquip ride-on power trowels from concrete debris, moisture, and physical damage during finishing operations. These joystick controls operate the hydraulic steering system, and damaged boots can allow contaminants to compromise the control mechanism, affecting steering precision and operator safety.

The boot creates a protective barrier around the control handles located on the operator platform. During concrete finishing, operators continuously grip and manipulate these controls while concrete dust and water spray are present. Without proper boot protection, concrete buildup can harden around the control assembly, potentially causing binding or hydraulic contamination.
