Multiquip 22252 Cylinder Position Pitch - OEM Replacement Part for Power Trowels

The position pitch cylinder hydraulically controls the angle and pitch of trowel arms during concrete finishing operations, allowing operators to adjust blade pitch for optimal surface finishing across different concrete curing stages. This critical hydraulic component ensures precise arm positioning, preventing common finishing issues like bouncing, concrete rolling, or uneven swirl patterns in the finished surface.

This cylinder works in conjunction with the spider assembly and trowel arm system to maintain proper blade angle throughout the finishing process. When trowel arms show signs of bouncing or creating inconsistent patterns, technicians should inspect the pitch positioning system along with trowel arm bushings (checking for more than 1/8" travel at arm tips) and thrust collar flatness (which should not vary more than 0.02"). Regular maintenance of the hydraulic system, including oil and filter changes every 250 hours with 10-micron absolute synthetic media filters, helps ensure reliable cylinder operation.
