Multiquip 2429 CVT Spare Belt Holder - OEM Replacement Part for Power Trowels

The CVT spare belt holder mounts to the belt guard on Multiquip ride-on and walk-behind power trowels, securing a replacement drive belt for emergency use during concrete finishing operations. This carrier ensures a spare belt is always available on-site, allowing operators to quickly replace a failed drive belt and resume troweling without returning to the shop. The holder attaches to the belt guard using welded blind nuts and mounting hardware, positioning the spare belt for rapid access when needed.

Installation requires disassembly of the CV-joint from the left-side gearbox coupler on most models. The spare belt is threaded through the holder and positioned for quick deployment over the clutch and upper drive pulley, then down to the lower drive pulley. Multiquip manuals specify that operators should ALWAYS verify a spare drive belt is installed in the holder before placing the trowel on a slab to finish concrete. After using the spare belt for emergency replacement, a new spare belt must be reinstalled in the holder before the next use.
