This plunger bearing kit maintains smooth, reliable operation of the plunger arm assembly in 2-inch diaphragm pumps used for dewatering applications including septic tanks, excavations, trenches, and industrial waste removal. The plunger arm is a critical moving component that drives the diaphragm through its pumping cycle, and worn bearings can cause the plunger to jam or prevent a full stroke—leading to pump stalling, crank slipping, and potential damage to the entire plunger arm assembly.

Regular bearing inspection and replacement is essential when pumping heavy debris-laden fluids or if the pump has stalled or stopped. During maintenance, the plunger arm lock screw requires torquing to 70 ft-lbs (9.6 kg-m) for proper operation. The bearing kit works in conjunction with the diaphragm retaining plate, which is secured by four nuts to the plunger arm base.
