The vibrating plate assembly is the primary compaction component that produces the low amplitude, high frequency vibrations required to compact granular soils and asphalt. This durable cast iron plate delivers 1,619 ft lbs of centrifugal force at 6,200 vibrations per minute (103 Hz), providing the tremendous consecutive force necessary for professional compaction applications including road work, embankments, reservoirs, and backfilling for gas and water pipelines. The flat, open plate design measures 16.53 x 11.61 inches and drives forward motion at approximately 82 feet per minute while remaining vibration-isolated from the engine and handle assembly.

This assembly works in conjunction with the vibration case that encloses the eccentric, gears, and counterweights. The sealed belt system keeps dirt and rocks away from critical components during operation.
