The drum and shaft assembly is the core mixing component of your Multiquip plaster/mortar mixer, housing the rubber mixing paddles that blend materials and providing the pivot mechanism for dumping mixed loads. This complete assembly includes the drum body, shaft, and integrated pivot points with Zerk grease fittings that require lubrication at least once a month or when the drum becomes difficult to position.

Regular cleaning after each use is critical to prevent material buildup inside the drum, which can lead to premature metal fatigue and reduced mixing efficiency. The drum head seals feature Zerk fittings on each end to lubricate the dumping mechanism. The safety grill should only be unlocked when cleaning of the blades and drum is required.
