The gland holder is a critical component in the mechanical seal assembly of submersible pumps, securing and positioning the seal components to prevent water infiltration into the motor chamber. This part maintains proper alignment and compression of the double mechanical seals that protect the oil-filled chamber in high-demand pumping applications.

Designed for Multiquip's ST-series submersible pumps, this gland holder works in conjunction with the dual mechanical seal system—featuring a lower silicon carbide versus silicon carbide seal and an upper carbon/ceramic seal. These pumps are engineered for clear water applications with maximum solids up to 0.6 inches (15.2 mm), operating in temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). The chrome steel construction of these centrifugal pumps demands precision-engineered seal components to maintain the integrity of the 40 oz. (1,200 cc) oil chamber that lubricates and cools the mechanical seals during operation.
