The rotor assembly is the rotating component of the generator's alternator that produces the electromagnetic field necessary for power generation. This OEM rotor assembly is engineered specifically for Multiquip's WhisperwattTM Super Silent generator series, designed to work with the revolving field, self-ventilated, drip-proof single bearing generator configuration that produces 14 kW prime output at 1800 rpm.

This rotor assembly is critical to the generator's open delta excitation system, which provides electrically independent winding among the stationary windings of the AC output section. The rotor spins at 1800 rpm to produce stable 60 Hz power output with single phase 120/240V configuration. Signs that your rotor assembly may need replacement include voltage fluctuations, reduced power output, unusual vibration or noise from the generator head, or complete loss of power generation while the engine runs normally.
