The coupling ring is a critical drivetrain component that connects the engine to the generator head in WhisperWatt super silent generator systems. This precision-machined coupling ensures proper alignment and torque transfer between the Volvo Penta TWD1672GE diesel engine and the synchronous generator, operating at 1,800 rpm to produce 600 kVA prime output (480 kW) at 60 Hz. Proper coupling integrity is essential for vibration control, sound dampening performance, and reliable power generation in these industrial-grade units.

This OEM coupling ring is engineered specifically for Multiquip's 600 kVA WhisperWatt series generators, including both standard and parallel-capable models. The coupling must maintain precise tolerances to prevent misalignment issues that can lead to excessive vibration, premature bearing wear, or generator shutdown. Regular inspection of the coupling assembly should be performed during scheduled maintenance intervals, particularly when servicing units operating below 30% rated capacity where carbon deposits may accumulate.

Compatible with the following Multiquip generator models:

DCA600SSV
DCA600SSV4F3B
DCA600SSV4F3PB
