The engine features a recoil starter system and operates on unleaded gasoline with an oil capacity of 0.3 qt. (0.28 liters). It requires automobile oil class SE or higher for proper lubrication. The ignition system uses NGK CR5HSB or DENSO V16 FSR-VB spark plugs depending on the specific rammer configuration.
