Multiquip EE60330 Tank Breather Vent - OEM Replacement Part for DEF Systems

This tank breather vent is a critical component of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system, allowing the DEF tank to equalize internal pressure as fluid is dispensed while preventing contamination from entering the tank. Without a properly functioning breather vent, the DEF tank can develop vacuum pressure that restricts fluid flow to the aftertreatment system, potentially causing SCR system faults and engine derate conditions.

The breather vent incorporates a filtration element that allows air exchange while blocking moisture, dirt, and debris that could contaminate the DEF supply. Contaminated DEF can damage the dosing injector, SCR catalyst, and other expensive aftertreatment components. In the DCA600SSV4F3 generator series, this vent services the DEF Tank Assembly (Item 6 in the major components diagram), which works in conjunction with the Aftertreatment Control Module Assembly to meet EPA emissions standards.
