This stainless steel tailpipe extension directs exhaust gases safely away from the generator enclosure on Multiquip Super Silent diesel generators. The 5-inch diameter, 13.5-inch long extension is engineered specifically for models equipped with Tier 4 Final emissions systems and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) technology. Proper exhaust routing is critical in these Super Silent enclosures to prevent heat buildup that can affect DEF system performance—particularly important as DEF system malfunctions above 150°F can trigger engine shutdowns on affected units.
