The hydraulic tank diffuser regulates hydraulic oil flow and pressure distribution within the hydraulic system of trailer-mounted concrete pumps. This component works in conjunction with the main axial piston pump to maintain proper oil transfer through the slave circuit, enabling the alternating stroke cycle between cylinder A and cylinder B during concrete discharge operations.

In the pumping cycle, hydraulic oil must transfer cleanly between cylinders to maintain the continuous suction and discharge sequence. The diffuser ensures consistent oil flow at the required 1750 psi accumulator pressure referenced in start-up procedures. Proper hydraulic system function is critical—the operation manual specifies using Shell Oil Tellus 68 or Mobil DFE 26 in the 50-gallon reservoir, with Tellus 46 in cold weather conditions below 50°F.
