This seal kit provides complete mechanical seal replacement components for Multiquip 2" and 3" trash pumps powered by Kubota engines, ensuring reliable water-tight operation in demanding dewatering applications. The mechanical seal is a critical wear component that prevents water from seeping into the engine crankcase while being continuously lubricated and cooled by the passage of water through the pump casing during operation.

The QP2TK trash pump uses a water-cooled mechanical seal constructed from silicon carbide and 304 stainless steel, specifically engineered to withstand extreme abrasion resistance and high temperature operation in harsh environments including muddy water, silt water, and debris-laden fluid. Running the pump dry or without proper priming will cause rapid mechanical seal failure due to overheating and loss of lubrication. This seal kit restores the pump's ability to handle solids up to 1 inch in diameter while maintaining maximum pumping capacity of 172 gallons per minute at pressures up to 37.7 PSI.
