The governor shaft works as part of the centrifugal governor mechanism, maintaining consistent engine RPM under varying load conditions across gasoline-powered vibratory plates, floor saws, trash pumps, diaphragm pumps, portable generators, walk-behind rollers, walk-behind trowels, and other equipment in the Wacker Neuson lineup. A worn or damaged governor shaft can result in unstable engine speed, hunting, or inability to hold a set throttle position.
