This lead wire is an internal wiring component located in the submersible pump assembly of Wacker Neuson PS3 1500 and PS3 2200 trash pumps, routing electrical current between the motor's internal components including the bi-metal thermal protector, heater, main coil, auxiliary coil, capacitor, and centrifugal switch.
The PS3 1500 and PS3 2200 electrical systems use color-coded wiring throughout the submersible pump, with red, white, brown, green, blue, and green/yellow conductors serving distinct functions in the motor circuit. A damaged or failed lead wire can disrupt continuity between these components, causing the motor to fail to start or run improperly. When inspecting wiring during service, Wacker Neuson procedures call for checking all insulation materials for cuts, cracking, hardening, or abrasive wear, and replacing any wire where short circuit risk or water intrusion is possible. No tape repair is permitted on damaged wiring in this assembly.
If continuity testing reveals a broken conductor, or if insulation shows visible damage, replacement with a genuine lead wire is the specified corrective action. Keeping wiring in serviceable condition is especially important in submersible applications where water exposure is constant.
Compatible with the following Wacker Neuson models:
- PS3 1500
- PS3 1500 (5000009118)
- PS3 2200
