This plug is used across multiple assembly locations including the crankcase, crankcase cpl., command cover, control cover, distribution cover, and governor lever area on compatible models. Given its placement in the crankcase on machines such as the DPU 3750Hts and DPU 3750Hts US, which operate at 5400 rpm with a centrifugal force of 37.00 kN, a properly seated threaded plug is necessary to maintain oil containment and system integrity under sustained vibration loads. On DPS1850H series plates, the exciter oil volume is 0.1 liters, making a secure plug seal important to prevent loss of that small but precise fill volume.
