Multiquip 1449284 Infrared Sensor V2 - OEM Replacement Part

The infrared sensor enables safe remote operation of trench rollers by detecting the operator's position and preventing unauthorized startups. This V2 sensor (for serial numbers 5572000 and above) is a critical safety component that works with the infrared transmitter to control pre-heating and engine start functions from up to 60 feet away, while maintaining a minimum proximity range of 8 feet.

When functioning properly, the sensor allows normal and quick-start procedures from approximately 3 meters distance. During troubleshooting, if the machine can only be started via ignition switch and remote functions fail, the infrared sensors (P1, P2) are the probable cause. The shutdown bar indicator lamp should blink when an operator is too close, and the pre-heating indicator lamp must illuminate when the Start switch is held on the infrared transmitter. If these indicators don't respond correctly, sensor replacement is required to restore safe remote operation.
