The blower housing directs critical cooling airflow across the engine's cylinder head and cooling fins on the MTR40SF tamping rammer, preventing overheating during extended compaction operations. This component is essential for maintaining proper engine operating temperatures, especially during the high-impact duty cycles typical of soil compaction work in pipeline backfilling and cable installation applications.
The MTR40SF rammer is equipped with an air-cooled, four-cycle Robin EH09-2F gasoline engine producing 3.3 HP at 4,100 RPM. The blower housing works in conjunction with the engine's cooling system to dissipate heat generated during operation at the machine's optimal speed range of 3,800 to 4,100 RPM. Damaged or missing blower housings can result in severe engine damage due to inadequate cooling, particularly when operating in hot conditions or during continuous use. Regular inspection of the blower housing for cracks, damage, or debris blockage should be part of routine maintenance to ensure proper airflow and engine longevity.
Compatible with the following Multiquip rammer models:
- MTR40SF
