Protecting the internal components of your Bartell generator from debris, moisture, and mechanical damage, this rear cover is an essential structural part that maintains the integrity of the generator enclosure. When the rear cover becomes cracked, warped, or broken, it leaves sensitive electrical and mechanical components exposed, creating safety risks and potential for premature failure of internal parts.
This cover corresponds to the panel back cover assembly referenced in the official Bartell Global parts documentation for the BG5000 and BG7000E generator series. Both the BG5000 and BG7000E share the same core frame dimensions of 29.3 x 21 x 23.2 inches (745 x 535 x 590 mm), and this rear cover is designed to fit precisely within that shared enclosure profile. The BG5000 delivers up to 5000W maximum output at 120/240V, while the BG7000E reaches 7000W maximum output, also at 120/240V, both relying on a properly sealed enclosure to protect the regulator, control panel components, and wiring housed near the rear of the unit.
Technicians should inspect the rear cover during routine maintenance checks and replace it immediately if physical damage is observed, as an unsecured or compromised cover can expose the overcurrent switches, breaker, voltmeter, and NKK switch to contaminants that cause premature electrical failure.
