This oil bath air cleaner mounts in the air cleaner assembly of the DPU 100-70 reversible vibratory plate, filtering incoming air to protect the engine from dirt and debris during operation. The assembly includes the oil bath air cleaner housing, retaining clips, foam air cleaner, filter element, gasket, sealing ring, and vortex precleaner, as identified in the Wacker Neuson DPU 100-70 operator's manual.
Regular inspection and cleaning of the air cleaner is required as part of routine maintenance on this machine. The vortex precleaner works in conjunction with the foam and filter elements to provide multi-stage filtration. The gasket and sealing ring ensure a secure, airtight connection between the cleaner and the engine intake. Running the engine without a properly functioning air cleaner risks severe engine damage, making timely service or replacement of this assembly important.
When servicing, the retaining clips allow removal of the housing for access to the internal foam and filter elements. Inspect elements for holes, tears, or dirt saturation that cannot be removed by cleaning, and replace parts as needed to maintain proper filtration.
