This air cleaner assembly provides filtered air intake protection for the engine on Wacker Neuson mobile generators, mounting at the air cleaner location and housing a one-piece single element air filter cartridge inside its assembly.
The assembly includes an end cover, dust cap, inlet pipe, filter housing, and gauge connection port. According to Wacker Neuson service documentation, the air filter cartridge should be replaced when the yellow indicator on the engine air filter gauge reaches the red line. To replace the cartridge, remove the end cover and discard the entire filter cartridge, then insert a new cartridge and reinstall the end cover with the dust cap clean and pointing downward.
Proper installation requires that the intake piping be fully engaged over the neck of the filter to ensure a good seal. All connections at the neck clamp, gauge connection, and intake pipe must be kept snug, as any air leak at these points can quickly lead to expensive engine repairs. The inlet pipe should be checked periodically for obstructions. If the filter housing, gauge connection, neck, or inlet pipe are crushed or damaged, they should be replaced immediately.
