This current transformer mounts at the current transformer assembly position on Wacker Neuson G230 and G240 generators, feeding live current sensing data through Plug 5 (current transformer inputs) to the genset controller as part of the AC electrical system. In the G230 and G240 electrical schematic, the current transformer works alongside the genset controller, voltage regulator, main circuit breaker, and shunt to monitor and manage output accurately across all load conditions.
The current transformer connects into the Deep Sea controller circuit on G230 and G240 machines, routing signals through the dedicated current transformer input plug. On G240 machines equipped with the electronic control board layout, the current transformer inputs are handled through Plug 3, feeding the control board that governs voltage regulation, load monitoring, and protection functions. Replacing a failed or damaged current transformer restores accurate current sensing to the controller, which is necessary for proper genset operation and load management.
