This cover mounts on the exciter assembly of Wacker Neuson BPU and DPU reversible vibratory plates, protecting the internal exciter components that generate centrifugal force for soil compaction. The exciter assemblies on these machines use 75W-90 API GL-4 gear oil at a fill volume of 0.6 liters, and this cover is a direct part of that sealed exciter housing. Keeping the exciter properly enclosed is necessary to maintain oil containment and protect the rotating components that drive oscillation frequencies of 90 Hz (5,400 RPM) on BPU models.
