This exhaust compartment insulator mounts above the door in the front enclosure of Wacker Neuson G50, G70, and G85 mobile generators, providing thermal protection between the exhaust system and the surrounding enclosure panels in that section of the generator housing.
Positioned within the front enclosure and radiator bulkhead assembly, this insulator shields adjacent sheet metal and components from heat radiated by the exhaust system. Proper insulation in this area helps prevent heat buildup inside the enclosure compartment and protects surrounding materials from prolonged thermal exposure. This part is used across multiple G-series generator configurations, including standard, cold weather, custom, extended run, and skid-mounted variants, as well as 600V mobile generator builds rated to Tier 4 Final emissions standards.
Replace this insulator if it shows signs of deterioration, compression, cracking, or heat damage, as degraded insulation material in the exhaust compartment can allow excess heat to accumulate above the door opening in the front enclosure.
