This lug door panel (part number 5000173706) is the access door assembly for the connection box lug compartment on Wacker Neuson G-series mobile generators, covering the mechanical lug terminals where output power conductors are landed and secured. It mounts at the lug box location, which houses the mechanical lugs, the lug safety limit switch, and associated wiring for L1, L2, L3, N, and bond bar connections.
According to Wacker Neuson service documentation, the lug compartment door on G70 and G100/G120 machines is equipped with a lug safety limit switch. When this door is opened, the switch trips the main circuit breaker automatically, providing an interlock that prevents accidental contact with energized terminals. A damaged, broken, or missing lug door panel can compromise this safety interlock and should be replaced promptly to restore proper protective function.
