This O-ring seal (part number 5100013423) provides a fluid-tight seal within the drum and bandage assemblies on Wacker Neuson roller compactors, fitting at the band, bandage, bandage with vibrator, roller drum, roller drum with vibrator, smooth drum with vibrator, smooth roller drum, RC70 drum, RC70 US drum, RC70P bandage, and RC70p US bandage drum shell locations.
On these machines, the drum assembly houses the vibration and oscillation system, with frequencies reaching up to 36 Hz and amplitudes up to 1.88 mm depending on the model. The O-ring seal at this location prevents moisture, debris, and fluid intrusion into the drum internals, protecting the vibration components from contamination and wear. A degraded or leaking seal in this area can allow fluids to escape or contaminants to enter, compromising vibration performance and accelerating wear on internal drum components.
