The short circuit cable (part number 5000086764) connects within the blower housing, recoil starter, and fan housing assemblies on a wide range of Wacker Neuson small-engine equipment, providing the electrical path that grounds the ignition system when the engine stop switch is activated. Without a functioning short circuit cable, the ignition cannot be reliably cut, preventing the engine from shutting down properly when commanded by the operator.
This cable is located at the blower housing and flywheel cover area on most models, and at the recoil starter and carburetor assembly on BFS 1345AB and BFS 935AB floor saws. It serves portable generators, floor saws, vibratory plates, reversible plates, rollers, trowels, truss screeds, vibratory screeds, diaphragm pumps, trash pumps, and clear water dewatering pumps across the Wacker Neuson lineup. A worn, broken, or corroded short circuit cable will typically present as an engine that cannot be shut off using the stop switch, or one that fails to start due to an unintended ground condition in the ignition circuit.
