The suction manifold for Wacker Neuson trench rollers sits within the engine compartment hydraulics and front frame assembly, where it routes hydraulic fluid from the tank to the hydraulic pump. Housed inside the engine/hydraulic housing on the front frame, this manifold is a direct part of the machine's hydraulic suction circuit, drawing fluid into the system under negative pressure to supply the drive, steering, vibration, and brake functions controlled by the hydraulic valve block.
On the RT 56-SC2, RT 82-SC2, and related SC-series trench rollers, the hydraulic system supports multiple valve-controlled functions including forward, reverse, steering-left, steering-right, vibration-high, vibration-low, high speed, and brake operation. The suction manifold feeds the pump that drives all of these circuits. A degraded or leaking suction manifold can introduce air into the hydraulic system, causing erratic operation, reduced responsiveness, or pump cavitation. Replacing it with a genuine OEM part ensures proper sealing and correct flow geometry for the hydraulic circuit.
